MA only work on trending market. Short or Long term you could made analyze from Big TF to Small TF using same MA.

Using the MA is very helpful in determining the direction of the market.
usually in combination between 2 MA.
when there is a crossing to 2 MA it is a signal to enter the position.

if you may know what your MA settings are?
may be a reference for me in using the MA.

I'm just using single MA just 150 periods. Some friends combine long periods 100 up with short periods 100 down.

my advice is to combine to match your character ... because with that you will be easier to respond when there is a win or loss,

used to follow trends or counter the trend after an intersection of the two Moving Average indicators. what if the intersection of the two Moving Average is canceled. do we hold it or take it off

That's happen when price made sideways. On that condition I prefer to zoom into small TF and act like scalper (before do this mark to high low from that sideway).

Moving Average (MA) is very popular indicator and many popular Indicators coming from MA formula like Boilinger Band and so on. MA also used as automatic trendline. BTW today we'll learn the right way to read MA.
  • Golden Cross, means market turn to bullish. At this time price crossing above MA. Scenario : 1st price at the bellow MA (bearish), 2th price crossing MA (reversal), 3th price above MA (bullish).
  • Death Cross, means market turn to bearish. At this time price crossing bellow MA. Scenario : 1st price at the above MA (bullish), 2th price crossing MA (reversal), 3th price bellow MA (bearish).
in theory it is like that, but for MA settings, what period do you use?
If I use 3MA with periods of 10, 17 and 200. For the simple rule if the 10 MA is above the MA17 means a buy signal. and if the 10 MA is below the MA17 means sell. if the 10 MA and 17 are above MA200 means the trend is up, and vice versa.

The Moving Average is simple, especially if it is made as a formula or technique, it will be very simple and profitable.

golden cross and also death cross are the outline of the trend term from MA.
MA is easy to use but sometimes it is not in accordance with the analysis.
I personally use the 3 MA settings with periods 8, 21 and 125.
with this strategy 125 as a large trend line and 8 and 21 when crossing as a change in price.

with the use of two MA we can see the occurrence of a siganal scenario that tells us that the price movement will rise or fall.
