The pip term is determined from the distance between the changing prices, if you buy EU at a price of 1.1800 then increase by 1.1801 it is 1 pip.

For example, we buy EUR / USD at the price of 1.2010, then the last zero or fourth digit behind the comma is called a pip. this understanding is very basic.

In the past, all pairs were only available 4 digits behind the comma, so for PIP it was calculated from the very back number.
Now there is a term pippete for the last nominal in 5 digits.
must be able to distinguish between PIP and Pippete so as not to make mistakes in calculation.

this term pip must be heard often, maybe old traders already know everything.
But new traders like to confuse Pips and pipites, it is based on 4 digit units and 5 digit numbers.
