I've used this before but I'm still confused about how to use it because I think the trailing stop is just a barrier so that the price doesn't return to floating minus that's all

Trailing stops are good, but I rarely use this technique because my target is often not achieved when I use a trailing stop.

I can't say much because I've never used a trailing stop As far as I know, I do use a trailing stop but that's to limit our profits so that when we turn around we're still profitable
