The NYDIG Bitcoin Strategy Fund has recieved approval from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which allows it to offer its shares to institutional investors. The company will only invest in cash-settled BTC futures traded on commodity exchanges registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. This is another investment product centered around BTC.

The number of addresses holding bitcoin has hit an all time high. There are 28.39 million addresses holding bitcoin. There are only 21 million bitcoin ever to be created. If you count all of the bitcoin that were lost over the years it's about half of that or less which will ever be in circulation. As more and more people use bitcoin the price will only rise. It would be smart to buy bitcoin while the price is still low.

Over 1000 bitcoin cash settled futures offered by BAKKT have been traded today. This is the first day these were offered.

ErisX has also launched physically settled bitcoin futures which started today.

The bitcoin price is sharply increasing the day after ErisX launched their physically backed bitcoin futures. Price could continue increasing if this is the reason now that there are now two regulated companies offering this product. Large companies and institutions can hedge between the two.

Bitcoin’s hashrate has just hit a new all time high of 111 EH/s, which is a 170.73% increase since January 1, 2019. Also the country of Uzbekistan made it illegal to purchase any Cryptocurrency. They can only sell it.

There is a Burger King restaurant now accepting bitcoin in Venezuela. I think many more stores and restaurants will start accepting bitcoin soon.

Bitcoin is slowly being accepted by the real market
I think the more people who understand the function of bitcoin, the more payment systems will be used.

The bitcoin hashrate set another all time high. On January 5 2020, Bitcoin’s hash rate struck a new all-time high of 117 exahashes per second (EH/s) (miners are producing roughly 117,000,000,000,000,000,000 hashes per second. Also the biggest bitcoin mining operation is about to go live in Texas, USA. This will be bigger than China's mining. The price is set to explode very soon.

The CME which already has bitcoin futures is coming out with bitcoin options based on those bitcoin futures. Those bitcoin futures came out at the peak of the last major bull run and many think that is what caused the price to crash. These options that are due to come out today could do the reverse and start another bull run. Or it could cause the price to crash even further. With the halving coming this May I think it will start the next bull run.

The futures options by the CME traded $2.3 million worth on its first day. If that keeps increasing it's very possible the BTC price will keep rising.

The Bitcoin network hash rate has reached an all-time high of 126 quintillion hashes per second. Just one year ago the network was hashing at just 38 quintillion hashes per second.

It seems that even such news only slightly moves the price of bitcoin and from my observation it is often that makes the price of bitcoin fluctuate is the news of the closing of a big changer or bitcon rejection in a large country. Stay updated on news about the development of BTC because it is very helpful.
