Some of you may have missed this.  There was a SIGNUM development team meeting on 4 September 2021.  This is the 2nd of what is hoped to be a monthly event.  The developers addressed a number of ongoing topics and recent achievements.  This is worth a listen.

A very significant drop across the board for most crypto currencies.  Does anyone have an opinion as to why?

Today the price of Signum fell to 0.00813. If you look at the pattern formed by Signum, there is a possibility that it will continue to decline and aim for the support at 0.00719

Bitcoin had been moving up for 7 weeks in a row. Then we got to the important 50k level. So a fall this 8th week was due in my opinion. I would say the same thing no matter what weekly chart I was looking at that did this. Take a coin and flip it 7 times. It might land heads every time, but the next one is more likely to flip tails since it's overdue. Same thing here.

Signum is testing the next release now.  Currently this is named:  v3.2.0-beta1 and is operational on the testnet.  This release includes a number of improvements to be announced soon.  But three exciting innovations I took note of:
1.)  A new fee mechanism.  If this is what I think it is, we will now be able to use more slots for the lowest fees.  Currently there is always only one slot for the lowest fee transactions.  This will resulting in faster cheap transactions. 
2.)  Extend the smart contract API to return all contracts that match a given code hash.  Smart look up!
3.)  Compress some (?) of the network communications using gzip (to reduce node traffic).

Signum has just announced they have signed and agreement with a new exchange. 

This is provide FIAT pairing on a Top 30 exchange!  The integration will take time and the name of the exchange cannot be announced yet.

SIGNUM is now updated to v3.2.0.  this release has some exciting improvements such as:

-Smart contract scalability by reusing code already on chain (this is CIP-30).
-New fee mechanism (CIP-31).
POC+ polishing (CIP-32).
-Extended smart contracts and more.


If you are running a SIGNUM node, be sure to upgrade to keep getting SNA payments.

The SIGNUM dev teams have settled on a name for the next hard fork:  "Speedway"

This will take effect on block 941100 (around 23rd of October). Read all about the hard fork on medium.
