Good morning admin and forum partners all, as we know that the market is sometimes trending and sometimes also flat. We must approach these two types of markets wisely, and match them with the technical ones.

Personally, I prefer playing when the market is trending because the pips obtained will be much bigger and more relaxed. Whereas if the market is sideways we are often touched by stop losses and losses.

Well, if you like trading on what kind of market conditions?

I also like to open positions when market is in trending condition, whether it's bearish or bullish. The possibility to gain profits is bigger. But we still can't be sure when it will touch TP, sometimes it take too long.
My favourite condition to open position is when an economical news is about to be announced. Because the price will be changes so fast. It's easier and faster to gain profit.

if I personally prefer the market during the trend. it's easier to identify, it's easier to get pips. moreover the pair has a fast movement, the benefits we get will be large.

More or less, I'm also the same as you, preferring the market movement when it's trending. Because then there is certainty in the movement of the market so that the profit and loss targets that have been previously determined will be quickly achieved rather than flat market movements and full of uncertainties that have the potential to hang more transactions that sometimes take days.

Same sir, I also often trade in market trending even though my trading style is scalping. It seems like most traders prefer markets with high volatility than the sideway market because they reach their targets faster. But there are also traders who prefer to trade in the sideway market for safer reasons.

its depending on me, if i want scalping maybe the sideways i a good thing, and if you want swing trade relying in trend of course great, but dont forget about your own greediness, sometimes we dont know when trend will start or even trend will reverse, but thats it for me

in any market conditions actually has the same potential profit and loss. all live to each other's traders who are the most suitable for the system they have. if our system is suitable for a sideway, of course when the trending market is not very suitable. and vice versa when our system is good for trending, if it is applied to sideways it is also not suitable and can be fatal. it means we have to understand ourselves before trading before seeing the current condition whether it is in accordance with our system or not. if it's not suitable, you really have to 'wait and see', you don't need to rush.

good evening sir anca, if I myself prefer when the market gives a trending price like the one I like, the reason is the same as sir anca said that if prices are trending it will provide greater profits, especially on the GBPUSD pair because prices can move minimum 400pip if there is a trend on the H4 timeframe, even up to 800 pips, just imagine if we enter the market at a price in the valley when the trend rises, and enter at the peak price when the price goes down we will certainly get a huge profit depending on the lot we Use

If talking about trends, some people will not agree with you. Because for scalpers, when sideway is a good moment to maximize their profits

usually if the price movement is very fast only when the news is released, sir, or when the market opens, it rests on the market closing
like when the Asian market was approaching closure but the European market began to open, at that time prices usually move with great intensity
and if you can take advantage of that moment to follow the price trend, the risk is likely to be smaller

Good morning traders, Before going any further, we should first know what is meant by sideway, in my opinion sideways are conditions in which the market is flat and there is no significant trend movement.

for you it's not good.

but for me, sideways are very good, only armed with bollinger bands can already determine the open position.
and make profit targets at the bollingerband rest.

if you do 3-5 x scalping with a profit potential of 100-300 pips you will get good results.

trading on the sideway market is not recommended but there are also traders with scalper style who are actually looking for a sideway market.
