We determine for what purpose we trade so we can choose which account is suitable for a demo or contest account. There are good and bad points when you study on a demo or contest account.

Demo accounts and contest accounts are both good for training and testing our trading system.

Take part in demo contest is a great way to learn with free of risk, but you need to to treat seriously to make sharp trading skill with learn how to determine best entry point and exit point, learn first about system trading even based on indicator or price action, you must have rules trading system and implement in demo contest fully discipline.

I usually register in contest accounts only to get prizes not for training.
