I prefer to use candlesticks rather than technical indicators especially custom indicators.

the indicators and candles are the same, the difference between cndle is more patent and valid than the indicator.

I am more likely to use indicators but often also find valid chart patterns for entry.

I tend to use candles for analysis because they are more practical and lightweight on a platform.

both of them are indicators according to me the difference is only technical indicators can be modified.

candlesticks are simpler but without the help of indicators in my opinion it also becomes difficult.
