Indeed, what you say is true, but even if you are trading on a large TF, you can get impatient if you always look at the chart

What I often do to practice my patience when trading is to set and forget. That way I don't need to look at the chart every time.

for leverage I don't care but for a high period of time it does have an effect

What I often practice to practice my patience is to set a sell limit or buy limit, that way I don't have to monitor or market every time.
