The appearance of MT4 is currently changing on Android phones and is similar to Mt5, maybe MT4 wants to be changed to Mt5.

I prefer to use MetaTrader which has good potential.

Currently, MT4 and MT5 are mostly used, but I heard that MT4 is going to be removed

Yes, I am also still use MT4 trading platform although my broker offer MT5, but I am also trying new their platform TickTrader, this is possible trade with negative spreads in pair like EURUSD, AUDUSD, etc.

currently it's probably Mt5 because it's starting to be widely used by traders even though it's still new
