GAP often occurs in the market because in forex price movements cannot be ascertained and when the brokerage market is busy, every price is actually still moving, it's just not significant and when the price moves significantly when the broker is on holiday there is a gap.

GAP occurs because of a price vacuum that occurs in forex when the market is off or quiet, in fact the market is never off, it's just that on holidays only a small amount of transaction volume occurs.
