I see trading as being something that relies on the person being motivated and productive. Since it doesn't have the same qualities as an actual job, like a supervisor, set work hours, set breaks, and being mandatory to do, I think a lot of people look at it different. Of course you also don't get paid hourly and can make much more more or even lose money, so that's why it gets put in a different category. Still though, I would very much consider trading to be work.
