This Stochastic Grid EA is a good EA. Test on demo first.

It seems to back test on the EURUSD H1 with stable results. I tried default settings and also changed the grid size to 15 and profit lock to 0.5 and both times the results were good. Thanks for sharing.

Profit lock determines when the ea takes profit. Profit mode is how aggressive the ea opens trades. This ea can be very profitable once you find the right settings. Test on demo before putting on a real account.

What about in every tick mode? You tested with control points.

It looks like in this case, a method of modeling does not distort the result.

A stupid or maybe rookie question.
Tested this on M15 GBP, open prices only and tick mode.
The results are close, but tick mode makes more losses.
Now the rookie question is, does the EA enter trades on the close of the candle, or on ticks during a bar.
See attached image, bottom chart is tick mode, note the sells which close at a loss, which do not happen on the top chart

Now the rookie question is, does the EA enter trades on the close of the candle, or on ticks during a bar.
It places trades during the candle and not at the close of a candle. So if you test it on the H1 in the back tester, you can see it enter trades at some times like 4:34. Whenever conditions are met, it will enter a trade. So it's best to back test this in every tick mode.

This is a good ea. Test on demo first.
Seems to work in 15mins and H1 but the drawdowns are unbearable. Seems to have some sort of martingale features which makes it highly vulnerable to trending market. In fact in 5mins chart it blew up the account.
I would rather suggest that if there's a way of it identifying trending market, instead of just doubling the lots of loosing positions (against trends), it should enter bigger lots in the direction of trends too. Sort of being hedged for each position. All the same, great job!

You don't have to use maringale with this EA. You can have it increase by .01 lots or not at all. You can also have it open bigger lots with the trend.

This EA works very well, but only if it trades on the close of a bar, on every tick, no consitent results.
Maybe Crazyprog can help us out here, to only open trades at open of a new bar?
I will post this on all the grid EA's I tested

How can one make it open bigger lots in the direction of trend? Which settings do I need to change?

Sorry for the late response. If you put profit mode to 2 it should increase the lots according to the increment setting. It has been a while since I tested this EA but I think that is how it worked.
