I want to be like you, can trade with large capital and keep calm with market conditions.

if I'm in your position to trade with that kind of money I will definitely mentally go down when facing losses.

how did you go through times like that?

USDJPY: I had to close a couple trades early to free up some margin because of the 2 consecutive day rule Oanda has. USDJPY started falling hard right after this. Had these remained open, I would have profited a lot. I am still bearish on USDJPY and will be posting more results later. I think there may be a bullish retracement soon before a longer move down. So I will probably be reentering some of these trades.

NZDJPY: This started falling hard recently too. One of my trades hit TP after many pips. This pair has much more to fall, but I think there will be a bullish retracement before that happens. I still have sell trades open for this and will post more results later.

INTEREST: I am very disappointed with Oanda about the high $1300 charge on December 27. As seen in the screenshot, my typical daily finance charge is usually around $100. I contacted Oanda online support about this. They sent me a link to a webpage and cut off the chat abruptly without even giving me a chance to reply. The webpage they linked to in the chat had showed crazy rates for USDJPY and NZDJPY for this day. There was no warning about this coming from Oanda. And there was no explanation about why the rates were so high for this day.

Because I am still in overall profit. If you check my 1st post, you will see I started this with much less money. Taking some losses and having drawdown is just a part of trading. Having other streams of income and keeping busy also seems to help.

NZDJPY: Since my last post, this fell some more and then there was a bullish retracement which allowed me to reenter some trades. For example, the 2 trades for 1.05 lots at 72.13. This is a long-term trading opportunity which I will most likely trade for a while yet until price finally falls to a low level. I still have trades open and will post more results later.

USDJPY: I closed this trade in loss because the direction became too unclear long-term. There is a triangle on the weekly TF. Price broke above the upper limit of the triangle and it was looking as if direction could go either way. Since then, USDJPY has started falling hard again. It was not worth the risk to keep this trade open at the time. Had I kept it open for an extra week, I could have closed these at BE or in some profit though. I am bearish on this long-term once again. I still have some trades open from a while ago.

NZDJPY: I had trades open since my last post. NZDJPY has been falling hard for the past 1-1.5 weeks. I am still bearish on this and have a few more trades open. Price is currently at a good support level at 71.25. I may enter some more trades if I see a good bullish retracement.

USDTRY: There was a trend line acting as support on the H4. It broke and was being retested. So I was expecting at least a small drop in price. I set the TP higher later at another support level to get out of this trade sooner.

NZDJPY: I mentioned in my last post how I was still bearish and still had trades open. NZDJPY fell another 100 pips since then. My long-term outlook which I posted about a while ago is coming true. NZDJPY is now at a low level and all my trades are closed.

USDJPY: This became bullish for a couple days after my last post. I was able to enter another sell at 109.20 before the next move down. USDJPY fell about 100 pips after that. I was also able to close another one of my sell trades from a while ago which I was holding on to. I am still bearish on this long-term and have 1 trade still open. If I have enough margin available and if I see a good bullish move back up, I may sell this some more.

GBPJPY: I sold this on the Friday before Brexit was enacted. It was risky, but the charts were telling me this would fall and I wanted the volatility. There was a trend line on the daily TF that was broke and being retested. This is bearish. Also, on the weekly TF, there was a trend line which price could not break above. It was acting as strong resistance. Price was likely to fall away from this line soon. TP was set above the next support level, but price fell much farther than this.

How long do you need to be able to consistently profit in trading, sir? because I am curious to see your journal, it seems that you are already very expert and very experienced. How long have you been in the trading world, sir? and is this the only technique you use for trading?

This question is outside the scope of my trading journal. I do not give trading advice.

I have been involved with trading for about 15 years total. I may use several techniques, but mainly trend lines, S/R, and patterns.

I have been busy lately with forum upgrades and other work. So I have not had much time to post here much. I was also holding on to some trades and waiting too.

I was short USDTRY. There was a trend line on the H1 TF which was tested many times and looked ready to fail as support. My plan was to hold on to these trades and collect interest even if my decision was wrong, but interest for USDTRY no longer pays what it used to pay. It seems to be calculated dynamically now and changes day-by-day. Had I held on to these trades longer, they would have went into profit. USDTRY has been falling hard for the last day. I think it's too risky and decided to close all though.

I was also short USDJPY. I closed these early as well. Had I held on to these trades, they would have went into profit since USDJPY has been falling hard the last few days.

I wanted to perform a "reset" for my account and clear out all old trades and start new. The problem I have is that my plan is good, but I cannot place additional trades in draw down because I run out of margin. So I want to reset my account and only trade 1 symbol at a time. I also wanted to withdraw money for personal reasons.

So I withdrew $6000. My current balance after closing all trades and withdrawal is $24150.61.

TOTAL TRADING LOSS: -$11523.58

INTEREST: +268.59

WITHDRAWAL: $6000

I sold EURUSD recently. There was a trend line on the daily TF that was a strong resistance level. Also, EURUSD shot up too much and too quickly. When this happens, I look to sell because a correction is a good possibility.

There was a little draw down and so I placed a second order above my original price to average in. Price then dropped down to my original order level and hit TP. I closed the 2nd order manually since enough profit was made.
